Domestic Short Hair / Tabby Cat

Jack "Pretty Boy" the Cat needs a home

AGE: about 2 years as of April 2017

ABOUT ME:  Hi. I’m Jack, but people call me “Pretty Boy” because I will win you over with my handsome good looks. I’m about twelve pounds and about two years old, but I still have my playful kitten moments. Mostly, I’m lazy though. I love to sleep. Sometimes I sleep on the pillow next to my foster mom. Other times sleep sprawled on the couch with my legs in the air. Oh, I’m so cute!

I was found as a stray and have feline leukemia, which likely means I have a limited lifespan. I will appreciate every day I have with you! Most cats with this disease are euthanized, but thankfully Twin Cities Pet Rescue took me in and is giving me a chance at finding a forever home. My perfect family will have me as their only pet. I haven’t spent time around dogs or children. They also won’t take me on car rides because I get really scared.

I am very quiet. My foster mom has only heard me meow a few times. But boy do I come running when I hear the treat bag crinkle! I am a sweet cat—I even know how to give kisses—and I just want a chance to spend what time I have left with someone who will love me and whom I can love. Will you be that person? Apply to adopt me today.

As mentioned, I did test positive for Feline Leukemia.   But I can still live a great life and be the best companion to you!   You can learn more about FeLV at

http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/Health_Information/brochure_felv.cfm

MORE ABOUT ME: I'm spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated appropriately for my age.  I tested negative for FIV but positive for FelV.

ADOPTION FEE:  Due to Jack's Feline Leukemia positive status, he has a reduced adoption fee of $25 plus tax

MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/adopt-a-cat/. A volunteer from Twin Cities Pet Rescue will contact you once your application is reviewed.
